Beaune for the day

My fiancee and I are staying in Paris 7 nights in May and have decided to spend a couple days in Burgundy. Neither one of us have been to the area, but I have come up with the idea, through research on the net, of spending a Saturday in Dijon and the next day in Beaune. I know Saturday in Dijon will be great with the market and I think an annual antique market still in town, but will Beaune be active on Sunday??? Suggestions on which city to stay in on that Saturday night? Possible to rent bikes in Beaune and bike the countryside for a couple hours? Thanks so much for any suggestions...This site is a blessing.

Overall, Paris, Dijon, and Beaune in three days is a lot of travel and time spent just settling in.

However, here are some ideas on cycling:

Yeah, you%26#39;re right...cycling is robably not realistic...but will Beaune be active on that Saturday?

I enjoy Beaune but active to me is a good restaurant and a relatively short walk back to the hotel.

You might find Dijon a bit livelier on a Saturday night.

haha our definitions of active are not that far apart...I am just hoping cafes and wineries will be open in Beaune on Sunday.
