while i recognize 2 days is not ideal, since we want to see it and will be in Lyon, we will still go and see what we can. We will be going to the Popes palace, and staying for one night at the Pigonnet in Aix.
Any good restaurant recommendations? What is a great thing to buy there? Also anything special that a 13yr old might enjoy?
Thanks.

There is a good pottery shop in the rue d%26#39;Italie, on on of the street corners on the right hand side as you go out of town. Best time to catch it open is the morning. The 2 garcons on the cours Mirabeau is the famous resto where Cezanne used to hang out. You can also visit his gallery, the cathedral, the four dolphins fountain etc. The town is famous for calissons, almond paste sweets with white icing on, so don%26#39;t miss them. You might also want to take a trip out to see Ste Victoire mountain. Will you have a car? If you will, why not drive up to the Luberon to see Roussillon and the art galleries there and the pigmented rocks, and the lovely scenery around.
