I%26#39;m trying to make plans to meet and pickup my mother there and since she%26#39;s going to be carrying two huge suitcases by herself, I%26#39;m trying to find a place that isn%26#39;t too far for her to walk.
Problem is, the map of the terminal on the airport%26#39;s web page doesn%26#39;t detail the arrivals area... after she clears customs, does she have to go down to the main levels/check-in level/airport tram level anyway, and, then, woudl that be a logical place to meet her?
Thanks!

There is a meeting place where everyone stands to wait for people clearing customs; everyone that clears customs in Terminal 1 comes out at that spot. There is a café there and always a little crowd of people meeting arriving passengers.

She will come out of the customs area into the public area. The path out has fences so the public can%26#39;t go into it. I feel it would be wise to stand by these fences and wait until she comes thru. Remind her to get one of the free carts if she has a lot of luggage.

With regard to that question, I am having Shuttle-Inter pick us up at 6:30 a.m. when the plane arrives (U.S. Air from USA) and then we retrieve luggage, etc. Once we come through the customs area and I assume that is where someone stands with a sign with your name? I did want to before departing the airport buy a museum pass and Paris Visite pass for both of us at the information desk. Will this be a big deal of very inconvenient for the driver to wait? Please help with any info. Thanks.

How many bodies are going out to meet your mother? If you are no more than three, consider taking a taxi both ways, or at least home. You won%26#39;t have to worry about anybody waiting for you, and you won%26#39;t pay much more for the convenience.
Tell your mother that it%26#39;s perfectly alright for her to ask a young man at the luggage carousel to help her with her bags. He may not be really keen to do it, but he won%26#39;t be really keen on looking line a jerk in front of all the people waiting for their bags, either.
BTW, my mother always got a kick out of finding one of us at the pick up area outside Customs with a sign with her name on it.
