Here%26#39;s what you need to do. Take a look at the circuit/route that the BATOBUS follows along the Seine and the locations of its Stops along this circuit/route-- http://www.batobus.com/english/index.htm --then you need to take out your street map of Paris (you have one already to assist you with planning your trip, right?..if not GET ONE) then locate all of the major sights and attractions which are important to YOU--your own personal %26#39;..must see..%26#39; list (any one of dozens of good Paris guidebooks will help you to put together this list), predicated on your own personal preferences, priorities, interests and available time.. Then compare the two and decide for yourself if the Batobus goes close enough to the places and things that are important to you and on your %26#39;..must see..%26#39; list. Make your informed decision predicated on this.
The very process will give you a much better idea of the layout of the city, where places and things are within the city and in relationship to each other. There really are some people who expect to arrive in Paris and find the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Arc de Triumph, Louvre, d%26#39;Orsay, Sacre Coeur etc. all arrayed around the same great traffic circle....and then discover that not only isn%26#39;t Paris set up this way, but that the budget hotel they so cleverly booked for a %26#39;song%26#39;, is only %26#39;..conviently located..%26#39;(for tour buses) to an off ramp of the Peripherique and the next to last stop on a Metro ligne, %26#39;..only minutes away..%26#39; and that they%26#39;ll be %26#39;..commuting..%26#39; to and from the %26#39;..Paris..%26#39; they came to see and visit.

thank you. it looks like along walk to the arc de triumph from the river port. How long would it take to walk this distance?

Without a good street map to guide you (evidently you haven%26#39;t got one yet), about 30-40 minutes (allowing for time to stop and ask directions) from the stop at Pont d%26#39;Iena at the Eiffel Tower

LOL...yes, the only large city that i can think of that has conveniently done this is Wash, D.C., around the Mall. Would be hard to get lost going from one museum/monument to the next.
The batobus was both convenient for getting up or down river, as well as a highlight for our youngest daughter (9 at the time). If your hotel is located near the Seine, which it should be, you will find it to be very useful.

Does anyone know how far west the batobus travels along the seine, and the approximate price of using it? Do you pay on a trip by trip basis or can you get a multi trip pass?
Thanks

You would do well to buy a GPS and save yourself lots of %26#39;asking directions%26#39;... cheers...

Can anyone tell me how long it takes the batobus to make its round of 8 stops ? Thanks a lot !

I SO love people who %26quot;get it%26quot;. This is exactly what one should do when going ANYWHERE. Research and save your feet and your sanity. I had forgotten about the batobus but I am taking my daughter for her first time and this is a great way to enjoy a Sunday afternoon.
THANKS!
