I have just read on two different postings on the internet that Mon Vieil Ami on Ile St Louis is rushing people through dinner, trying to have two seatings a night. One person said they were told they had to leave their table by 10pm. We usually make reservations for 8:30 and like to take our time (approx 2 hours) enjoying our meal. Does anyone know anything about this? Thanks.

That would bother me also.. and it would show me that they are now catering pretty much to the tourist trade, as most locals would not expect to be rushed out of dinner. I would then wonder if general standards have fallen.
Have you contacted the restaurant directly and asked? I would. Sometimes reveiwers got it wrong, maybe a mix up in a reservation or something.

Hmm....we were there in early March and had an absolutely delightful dinner at Mon Vieil Ami. There was absolutely no hint of being rushed.

So glad to hear that. We had one of our best Paris meals there 3 years ago and wanted to go back.

I was there w/ three friends at the end of March and was not rushed. We had an 8:00 reservation.
