Opéra national de Paris

Has anyone been to the Opera national de Paris? Is it worth going to a performance there? Any other ideas for theater performances? We are going to be there April 15-22.

Thanks!

check the site www.operadeparis.fr.

The two opera houses are Opera Garnier and Opera Bastille. Opera Garnier is older than Opera Bastille. Opera Garnier, in my opinion, is the most beautiful building in Paris. You can take an English-guided tour there, you can do a self-tour or you can purchase tickets to see an event there. I have done a self-tour and have seen an Opera there. I plan to see a ballet there in September. I recommend that you do go to a performance of ANYTHING you can get tickets for.

If you purchase tickets on line they will send them to you anywhere in the world for no additional charge. Unfortunately, you do not have time to do that since you leave next week. Perhaps you need to call them to purchase tickets. I am not sure. Anyway, the place is gorgeous.

By the way, Opera Bastille is not nearly as beautiful and I don%26#39;t recommend that you spend your time there unless you are going for the performance and not the building.
