Breakfast place near Louvre/Tuilleries

Bonjour

We are looking for a convenient and reasonable place for breakfast near the Tuillerie Gardens/Louvre.

Dont need anything fancy -- a nice take away place would be fine -- good food, fair price, fast service -- that would be perfect.

Many thanks, as always

Two very nice boulangeries near the Louvre are:

Aux Castelblangeois at 168 rue St. Honore

and

Le Pain Quotidienne at 6 rue J.J. Rousseau

Eat in or take away.

My vote also goes to Le Pain Quotidien, on the Place du Marché St-Honoré. It%26#39;s part of a Belgian bakery chain that also serves meals until about 7 p.m.; lunches feature homemade soups and sandwiches. The pastries are great, and you can get a soft-boiled egg at breakfast.
