what u do if u pass the 2 zone with metro?

I know a ticket t+ is available for zone 1-2 in Paris. So if u go to zone 3 what u do?

U get out of the metro station and get in again with another ticket +??

I think there have been some changes recently with regard to the zones. The normal %26quot;Ticket T+%26quot; is valid on the entire metro system (regardless of which zone the metro station is in). It%26#39;s also valid on the RER, but only in Paris - which is zone 1. (previously, normal tickets were valid for zone 1-2 but this has changed one or two years ago).

So as long as you use the metro, you don%26#39;t have to worry about zones. Only when you use the RER trains, you will have to make sure that you do not travel outside of Paris, or you can get a fine.

If you use the RER to travel to a destination in zone 2, 3 or further away, you need to buy a normal ticket.

The entire metro system is within zones 1 and 2 so you cannot go into zone 3.

If, however, you travel by RER (the suburban rail system) this goes out to zone 6. You would have to buy a ticket before you travel to cover the zones you need. For example Charles de Gaulle airport is in zone 5.

As noted, ALL regular METRO stations, on all regular METRO lignes (numbered #1-#14) are technically within Transportation Zones 1-2. This is NOT true for the RER train systems%26#39;s suburban trains or public BUS routes.

So as a general rule, consider any public transportation destination that%26#39;s %26#39;inside%26#39; of the Périphérique (%26#39;ring road%26#39; %26#39;round Paris) as being well within Transportation Zones 1-2...and for any destination %26#39;outside%26#39; of the Périphérique, double check the Transportation Zone map to make certain of that destination%26#39;s Zone.
