Build a Bear toy store at La Defense- have you been there?

My 8 year old daughter has been saving her money for months to afford to go to Build a Bear in London and Paris when we visit later this fall. While I have been able to locate product information for the London locations, I have not had any luck finding product info for the Paris locations (La Defense).

Does anyone know if the Build a Bear at La Defense has France themed merchandise, such as clothing with the French flag and French speaking voice options? She is hoping to buy items that she cannot find in Canada.

Thank you for your help.

I am sure that I have read somewhere that there is a %26quot;Build a Bear%26#39; located in Galeries Lafayette.

Dont know anymore than that though.

I haven%26#39;t been there either, but I%26#39;ll bet you could get an accurate answer to your question by e-mailing Guestservices@buildabear.com

Thank you both for your advice. I did not know about the Galleries Lafayette location as it is not listed on the Build-a-Bear website so I will give it a try. I have tried the Build-a-Bear customer help line but they did not have much information on the merchandise in France.

I am hoping someone who is in Paris or visits regularly and has gone to Build-a-Bear in Paris can provide me with advice. Thank you for any help you can provide.

Maybe you read it here: …blogspot.com/2005/09/build-bear-parisian-st…

%26quot;well, enfin, this cuddly concept has arrived in the city of light. galeries lafayette has opened a bulid-a-bear workshop in its haussman store in paris. and if your child should ever loose his/her cherished teddy, the bear has a barcode inside to make sure it gets back to its rightful owner.%26quot;

Note that this message was from September 2005 - so, this build-a-bear workshop may have disappeared again from Galeries Lafayette...

Hi CV

Try La Defense. Do not go to Galeries Lafayette their build a bear outlet is gone. We were just there October 7 2008. We would have tried La Denfense but did not have time.

We just returned from Paris and in case anyone searches on this topic in the future, I now know the answer to my original question. The Build a Bear at La Defense is very good. It has the usual stuffed animals but there are 3 or 4 voice options, each that say a number of phrases in French. There are also some French themed clothing (with the Eiffel Tower or flag of France, for instance). Buying a French speaking bear ended up being my daughter%26#39;s favourite souvenir and it is a hit in her French Immersion grade 3 class.

Thank you again to everyone who helped me with my original question.

The Build A Bear webpage lists the following locations:

Paris

La Defense

Paris

La Vache Noire

Paris

Velizy 2

Anyone have any thoughts on which of these stores is close to a major tourist attraction that we would be going to anyway (or otherwise easiest to get to)? I know my daughter would enjoy stopping in a Build A Bear store in Paris.

All these locations are more or less outside of central Paris. But La Défense (shopping mall %26quot;Les Quatre Temps%26quot;) is probably closest, and can easily be reached by metro line 1. It%26#39;s a large high-rise business district, and also the location of the famous %26quot;Grande Arche%26quot;.

La Défense is west of Paris, just outside the périphérique (ring road); La Vache Noire is a shopping mall in Arcueil, a bit south of Paris (and not too far from the Porte d%26#39;Orléans), and Vélizy 2 is a mall in Vélizy-Villacoublay, south-west of Paris.
