Hey all
i read some posts saying that we cant sit on the grass for picnics in luxembourg gardens.
what about the champs de mars or Jardin des Tuileries , is it allowed? and are there any markets next to them to pick up our snacks after some sightseeing?
thanks for your help

Not sure about the Tuileries, but Luxembourg has some spaces where picnic may be allowed.
Champ de Mars is definitely one of the most frequented picnic areas when the weather is nice. The Quais de Seine near Ile de la Cité and Ile St Louis are also a great place during summer evenings.
You%26#39;ll be able to find sandwiches and snacks in any good boulangerie.

Hi -
Champs de Mars is fine, I don%26#39;t know about Tuileries. Generally speaking, you should count on sitting on a bench since there are many more places where you%26#39;re not allowed on the grass than where you are.
Just because there isn%26#39;t a big street market nearby doesn%26#39;t mean that there isn%26#39;t a small shop that has everything you want for a picnic. Just keep an eye out. There is always a boulangerie for some fresh bread, and a greengrocers, or something that will supply everything else.
