Question #1:
Has anyone bought a Museum Pass or Disney Tickets at CDG when they land?
Question #2:
We are leaving in 3 weeks. Do I need to make reservations for Jules Verne for lunch, or is it probably too late to do so anyway-should I make for all restaurants we are planning on going to in the evenings?
To all that have helped me plan, I do very much appreciate all the advice. I know that my trip will be fantastic and having a few hints really helps.

Museum pass available at TI%26#39;s in terminal 1,2C,2D and 2F. When I tried to buy mine they were out of the 2 day. They will accept US credit cards,
.
May be too late for Jules Verne. Call them. I would wait to make other reservations as fatique, change of plans may find you not wanting to go-unless you are planning $$$$ ones then I guess reserve now

That%26#39;s what I figured about Verne-no biggie. SOme bread and cheese and a REALLY good bottle of wine will do!

Probably too late for JV but IMHO no loss.
In Paris, it is usually wise to make a reservation for dinner at even modest local places a day ahead. Lots of small cafes etc which are a delight to eat in fill up quickly or are reserved and many places only have one real seating
fancy places require reservations long in advance -- although we have been able to get into some lovely well known places for lunch when dinner was out of the question -- and that is also much cheaper.

I really like the smaller, less-known places. As we will be going all over, I am hoping that I can squeeze into the lunch places around 1:30 or so-as I have seen that most close by 2:00.
I like the idea of a cozier place. I don%26#39;t mind sitting at the bar to eat-I prefer it anyway-most bartenders tend to have the best advice! (Yes, I used to be one-I am full of advice!)
|||
Don%26#39;t count on squeezing into a small place for lunch at 1:30--they%26#39;re likely to be full up *and* they%26#39;re likely to have run out of many things.

That%26#39;s the adventure of getting into a restaurant like that. You see what is left and try something you wouldn%26#39;t have tried any other time. I have very rarely been dissatisfied with the %26quot;leftovers%26quot; at a restaurant!
They might even give you a little %26quot;extra%26quot;-at least that has been my experience in other countries and cities, like Jamaica, Hawaii, and England.
Any suggestions for small %26quot;holes in the wall%26quot; in Paris?

It%26#39;s always worth a try where a reservation is concerned, especially if you don%26#39;t have a large party, so try the Jules Verne if it%26#39;s really important to one of your group.
Additionally, if the object merely is to eat on the Eiffel Tower, perhaps the restaurant on the second level will be reopened. I think the new name is 58 Tour Eiffel and you could try for reservations there. You might be a little more successful with a newly reopened and renamed property.
I never make reservations in advance unless someone else is going to treat us to some famous restaurant (read expensive) with some famous chef (read very expensive). Since this very seldom happens, I feel justified in using the word never.
I don%26#39;t know what food items will appeal to me on an evening 6 weeks away, and I don%26#39;t know exactly where I%26#39;ll be in the city at that distant time. Additionally, sometimes I just see a place as I wander through a neighbourhood and it appeals to me. If le menu also appeals to me and is affordable, then that%26#39;s where I%26#39;m going to be for dinner that night. That, to me, is one of the greatest pleasures of Paris.

We just returned from Paris and had lunch at JV midweek, made on line reservations the night before.
Excellent cusine and service the only problem is when the check came and it was incorrect, in JV favor.

I bought a museum pass at CDG with an Australian credit card on a sunday morning- no problem.

Just in case you don%26#39;t have the actual website for booking Jules Verne its http://www.lejulesverne-paris.com/ i just tried in 3wks time and heaps of places left. We went to Altitude 95 at night and thought the food was good but its the sitting in a restaurant in the Eiffel Tower that does it for me. I am hoping to spend my birthday in Jules Verne next year :0)
