We have been searching out wine bars based on a small book which we have brought to Paris. But this afternoon just stumbled on this one in the 1st after viewing two exhibits at the Pompidou Center - Au Vieux Comptoir. It is billed as a bistro a vins as opposed as a wine bar, but we ordered a planch of saugages and cheese, then tried four different types of red wine by the glass to go with the food, helped by suggestions from Ann; Two Languadocs and two Bougognes. It was very pleasant and we lingered there for several hours. And I bought a bottle of Pinot Noir as a take-away. We also made reservations for Friday night for dinner. If you are wandering arouonf the First take a look.

The exhibits were very good too. One of Caulder and one of Kandinski.
