My husband and I are travelling to and from Corsica by ferry. Does anyone know if there are car rental companies that permit collecting and dropping off cars at Bastia and Calvi ports. Otherwise how do we get to and from the airports (where car rental companies operate) and at what charge! We have checked out Economy car rentals so far.

There are other people on this forum who are quite expert on most things Corsican, so I%26#39;m sure you%26#39;ll get the answers you need from them.
The only port I%26#39;m familiar with is at Calvi, I wouldn%26#39;t know if the car hire company will allow you to pick up at the port, but the main car hire office in Calvi town center is only a short five or ten minute walk from the ferry port.
Calvi airport,is only about 15 minutes away, but will still cost you at least 30 0r 40 Euros. I would opt for the town center pick up.
%26quot;Auto Europe%26quot; is another company you may want to try for car hire. you can pick up from Calvi town center with them.
Good luck have a nice trip.

Thankyou so much for the name of that car rental company. It is the only one that I have found that allows pick up and drop off in the towns and it%26#39;s also a good deal. You%26#39;re a champ!

Oh, that%26#39;s OK pipsy you%26#39;re welcome.
I wouldn%26#39;t even bother with a taxi to the pickup office in Calvi town.
As you disembark the ferry in the port of Calvi, there are plenty of bars and restaurants where you can sit and have a beer,{if you%26#39;re carrying a lot of baggage} whilst one of your party takes a stroll up through the town to pick up the vehicle and return after all the other ferry traffic leaves the port side.
PS
There is a small blue and yellow %26quot;cafe%26quot; {wooden hut} on the harbor side, that does a nice pizza, and a cold beer.
best wishes, Alf.

It is possible to pick up and drop off cars near Bastia port. I did it with Europcar (the company most often used by Holiday Autos/Auto Europe) but it seems likely that other major companies eg Hertz, Avis etc also have downtown offices. I%26#39;ve also done it at the port in Bonifacio with Hertz, although it wasn%26#39;t an experience I%26#39;d particularly recommend.
In my experience the downtown/port offices tend to have more limited opening hours than those at the airports eg closed for lunch, at weekends etc. You can check all this on the company websites.
