cheap hotels

i was wondering if anyone could provide me with a bit of help.

im thinking of spending new years this year in St tropez and its surroundings and have got a fantastic deal on a flight (from london) but the only thing is getting cheap accodmmodation.

i will be with my girlfriend and hoping to do something on the cheap for lets say around the £70/ night.

is there any hotels that anyone has stayed in, that they would recommend please?

also, any advice on what new years eve is like in st tropez?

Hi,

A couple of hotels stand out if you want to be close to town, but not break the piggy bank:

Hotel des Lices -- downtown, behind the central square, with a pool.

Hotel Lou Cagnard -- also in town, by the tree-lined Place des Lices. Simple rooms, with no fuss just comfort. Folks enjoy its garden for quiet breakfasts. No pool. Personally, I think this hotel is a bargain for St Trop: in the winter, they run about 75euros which is inexpensive for the location (varies by room and exact dates - may be a bit higher for N.Year%26#39;s). They usually close Nov 1 to Dec 26.
