We booked the Littre for four nights next week (!) We were booked through Hotwire into a 15m Montparnasse room. The hotel offered me an upgrade to a Penthouse room for 60 eu more per night. Has anyone stayed in a penthouse room there? Is it nice? Any advice will be appreciated.

Excuse my english, I%26#39;m a francophone.
Last year, I came to Le Littré.
Very nice hotel.
I did%26#39;nt have the penthouse, but I was in the the room 804 with a balcony with a view on the Eiffel Tour, it was fantastic.
The room is not too small, it was very comfortable.
I don%26#39;t know which category was this room, but it was very good.
You can go in the reviews of this hotel, you will see pictures of the room 804 and the balcony with the view.
My review is in french.
You made a good choice of hotel.
Have a nice trip.

Thank you for your feedback. I found out that the Penthouse is a junior suite on the 8th floor- so not as upgraded as the room you had but I think it will be very nice. We will not have a view of the Eiffel Tower, but over the rooftops of Paris. I think it will be very nice.

I think we stayed in the junior suite last year - we had booked a superior triple and were given a free upgrade which was a very nice surprise. It was very comfortable, enough wardrobe space, we used the sofa-bed for our son but if you don%26#39;t need that it%26#39;s a good seating area. The bathroom was huge, it%26#39;s the same as the one in the website pictures for the Rive Gauche suite, but we didn%26#39;t have an ET view so ours was not that suite.
It%26#39;s a lovely hotel with very helpful and friendly staff, you%26#39;re also within walking distance of Laduree and Herme in case you%26#39;re a macaron fan!

Thinking about the upgrade- maybe it was not smart of us to pay for the upgrade- maybe they would have upgraded us anyway. It sounds like a lovely hotel. Thanks.

Hi All,
Sorry to butt in, but I was looking at the Littre for the view of the Eiffel Tower, just wandering are the %26quot;Rive gauche%26quot; suites the only ones that have the view of the Tower? Just so expensive for early September 703 euro a night!
If so do you know of any other good hotel that has a 3/4 to full view of the tower, nothing with just the top...as most do.
I did look at the Pullman but the reports didn%26#39;t look too good and the view is only if you streach your neck out of the window. It doesn%26#39;t worry me really where we stay, just would like to see the Eiffel Tower from our room. It%26#39;s my part of the honeymoon as he has the Ferrari Factory in Modena so I would like to make it a little bit romantic... :)
Thank you
Della
