I%26#39;ve never seen a public toilet in a metro station. Interesting thought...

|||

I haven%26#39;t either, but if they did have them, I%26#39;m very sure you wouldn%26#39;t want to use them except possibly in the most dire emergency.

Actually, I have seen a really nice one. It was, If memory serves, near either the Madelynn churh or the Opera. There is one near the Bastille and one on the Champs Elysee. They are co-ed but are well maintained by the dragon ladies.

The one at the Madeleine is gorgeous, but not at all connected to the metro system.

so, in paris there is actually no such thing as public toilet ? .. or to be exact.. no free public toilet ?

|||

No, there are the sanisettes. They are freestanding kidney-shaped toilets located throughout the city. They%26#39;re free, but again, I%26#39;d only use them in a pinch.

Maybe men are different, but I%26#39;m particular about my facilites. I%26#39;d rather duck into a cafe, McDonald%26#39;s, museum or department store

Hi

There are many metro stations with public toilets, all of which are now free. Thank you Mayor Bertrand Delanoe.

You%26#39;ll find toilets in:

Trocadero Metro Station

Hotel de Ville Metro Station,

Bastille Metro

Palais Royale Metro

Charles de Gaulle Etoile metro

There is also a public toilet in front of Notre Dame near the statue of Charlemagne and on in the Square Jean XXIII the Parc in the rear of Notre Dame.

There is a public toilet in the Place Charles de Gaulle Etoile between Avenue Marceau and the Champs Elysee.

A public toilet at the entrance to the Tuileries but this one costs you 40 cents...

I%26#39;m sure there are others...

Tell me pls if it.s necessary to go inside the metro station to find this toilets, i mean do i need to use a metro ticket a priory?

Thx

There are Public restrooms through out the city, and apparently a few in the metro stations. But really, there is no need to head into the metro just for a washroom...

First, the sanisettes. This is just a fancy word for free-standing public restroom. They are all over the city. And they are free and self cleaning.

Then, there are the cafes. 90% of the cafes will let you use their restrooms if you ask nicely.

Hope this helps.

As for paying to get into the metro for the stations that have them... Discover?

The train stations also have restrooms. Although we paid .40 to use the one at CDG train station a few weeks ago.
