Paris to London - Eurostar

Hi,

I would need suggestions in booking my Eurostar ticket.

I am looking for a fare from paris to london %26amp; when I did a bit of research I have found the cheapest 59 euros (return fare) from london to paris.

My question is: The 59 Euros fare only allows me to book from london to paris (outbound) %26amp; then paris to london (inbound). As I only need from paris to london, would that be okay if i make use of only inbound ticket? without using outbound at all?

I know people make use of outbound and then cancel inbound. But in my case I need the inbound only.

If i dont use outbound first, will they cancel the whole of my ticket?

Please advice.

Raj

If it%26#39;s anything like airline tickets, failing to use the first part will automatically cancel the whole thing. I wouldn%26#39;t take a chance on that. Have you tried playing with the departure time, etc., to see whether you can get a better are that way? Often that%26#39;s the case, as very early or late departures aren%26#39;t nearly as popular as ones from late morning to early evening.

There are tickets from Paris to London one way for £60 (€66).

It just depends on how long it is before you depart and the time of day you want to travel.

When you buy a Eurostar return ticket online you are supposed to pick up the actual tickets for both journeys at the station of departure (either using the machine or the manned counter). Thus if you don%26#39;t intend to use the return portion, always make sure it%26#39;s the outbound journey that you actually use, otherwise you may not have a ticket for the return portion.

Iggy - thanks for that bit of information, as I would have assumed there would be a print-at-home option.

I bought our tickets online and the tickets were mailed to me in the U.S. with no extra charge. For my travel date, it was cheaper to but one-way (from Paris to london).

i bought a one way from paris to london in june. on the US site, it ewas 98 US for one way, but booked it from the Belgium site for 66 Euros which is around 87 US. tried to do the round trip from london to paris and just take the paris to london leg, but you will need to pick up the tickets in london.

Hi Raj

I have just booked a return London to Paris trip for 59Pounds(from Australia) for travel in June, however my daughter and partner are travelling from Italy to Paris by train and they just booked a one way ticket from Paris to London on the Eurostar for 60 pounds,as far as I know you can,t use only the return part of your ticket, but you don,t need to at 60 pounds.
