Hi.
My wife and I are staying at Mas Des Arcades hotel - about 2km from the centre of town for just a night.
We plan on arriving mid afternoon and visiting the centre late afternoon and early evening to walk around and catch a late dinner somewhere. Is there easy street parking available? Or should we be expected to battle for parking?
thanks.

I would suggest that you don%26#39;t drive into the center of Paris. Traffic and parking both can cause big headaches. Park near your hotel instead and take public transportation to the center. If you must drive into the center, it%26#39;s much easier to find a space at a parking garage than street parking.

Easy street parking? definitely not in the center of town..... unless of course you arrive on a Sunday afternoon.
But there are several paying parking places.
Will you be coming from Barcelona or from Narbonne?

thanks. we will be coming from Narbonne.

In that case when you cross the bridge just before entering the town, keep on the left lane and turn left as soon as it becomes possible (after 2 traffic lights) at the piazza with palm-trees and the big FNAC building (Place de Catalogne) Follow that street (rue de la République) for about 60 yards (at one point it will turn right) until you cross a second bridge. A few yards after that bridge on the right there is a public (and paying) parking place called Parking Arago where your car will be safe.
You%26#39;ll be 5 minutes from the town center.
