Hi,
Does anybody know if the public buses are running in the early morning in Lourdes in late April? I plan to arrive and leave by the 6.30am trains on 25th and 28th April.
For personal and budget reasons, I%26#39;m deciding between Hotel Esplanade Eden and Hotel St Etienne. Can anybody give me any opinions regarding the convenience of these two hotels and how to get to/from them to the train station in the early morning?
Thanks in advance!

There would appear to be an %26#39;on demand%26#39; bus from the station at 630am into town but this needs to be reserved.
Otherwise the bus service is very limited.
There is a taxi service advertised on the official town website
Taxis Lourdais Coordonnées
avenue de la Gare
05.62.94.31.30
Standard 24h/24 - 7/7jours

Hi thanks for your reply!
What can I expect to pay for taxi fares to the hotels? I%26#39;ve never been to France, so I%26#39;m not sure what the going rate is.
Thanks once again.

Taxi fare from Station to Hotels is about 10 Euros

Hmmm I wonder if I can walk to the hotels from the train station? I don%26#39;t have much luggage. I tried looking at the satellite maps and it doesn%26#39;t look that bad.
Does anyone know roughly the walking time to boulevard de la Grotte and Esplanade du Paradis?
I apologise for asking so many questions. Thank you for all the helpful answers! =)

Walking FROM the station is not really a problem especially if you have a bag on wheels however the return trip is uphill for a lot of the way!

I%26#39;m going to share the information I found out. I just called the city bus and they told me that the bus service starts at 7am and runs every 30 minutes daily, so there%26#39;s no need to make a reservation. So all I have to do is wait at the station to get a bus to the city, though it looks like I might have to take a taxi to catch my 6.40am train out of Lourdes. The bus won%26#39;t be running then.
Thanks to all who posted!
