From CDG Airport to 3rd arrondisement

Bonjour!

I%26#39;m going to arrive in Paris in CDG airport around 17h on May, 5. I%26#39;d like to know how I can reach my hotel (39, rue Turbigo, 3rd arr - Hotel Bellevue Chariot) by the easiest and cheapest way.

How much is a taxi fare supposed to be? We are in three person and maybe it can be easier.

Thanks!

As always, %26quot;easiest%26quot; and %26quot;cheapest%26quot; are not the same thing.

Easiest would be to take a taxi. You pay the fare on the meter, plus extras for luggage, etc., and you could expect in the order of €50.

Or you could go to the RER station at the airport and buy a €8.40 ticket into central Paris. Get off the RER at Chatalet Les Halles and either: (a) take metro Line 11 in the direction of Marie des Lilas and get off at Arts et Metiers; or (b) take Metro Line 4 in the direction of Porte de Cligancourt and get off at Reamur Sebastopol.

If you go to maps.google.com and put in your hotel%26#39;s address, you will see it is about the same distance from Arts et Metiers and Reamur Sebastopol.

Cheapest of all, of course, would be to walk.

Salut

I know that area very well. Take a taxi. You have three people so that is very reasonable per person vs slogging bags around the metro and walking.

In my opinion, unless your hotel/apartment is 5-10 minutes walking from the RER B or Opera, then a taxi is worth it especially with a group of 3.

Best regards

Bill

The métro line-11 connection at Chatelet is horrendous and should be avoided. I think the taxi (50€ for three people) or the RER-B/Métro line-4 (25€ for three people) options are good recommendations.

Also, I%26#39;d recommend the RER-B/Métro line-4 connection at Gare du Nord and not Chatelet.
