What kind of clothes to pack?

What kind of clothes should we pack for a trip to Paris and then Southern France. We will be there from April 14-28.

Check the weather online to get a general idea closer to the date you go. I would start checking now. Jeans are fine everywhere. Bring a light jacket and clothes to layer although is should be getting warmer in the south of france.

Thrre days ago it was warm and sunny, yesterday was cold and rainy. Unpredictable. Layers are essential. Even in July and August.

Yes, I was wondering the same thing, exactly what to bring. I was thinking about my leather coat (waist length) but it%26#39;s heavy to drag around and I really don%26#39;t want to get it soaked if it%26#39;s raining. I do have a longer than waist length very light fleece lined inside and plastic waterproof outside dark grey zip up jacket. Not as fashionable but much more practical and lighter to carry around if I take it off and have to carry it. Besides that, I live in Southern FL and I live at work in tan khakis and polo shirts so that will be the order of the day and night, plus a sweater as needed. Will leave the jeans at home, too heavy. Scarf, gloves, beanie maybe if it gets cold and rainy at night and fold up umbrella. Ballet at Palais Garnier, white shirt, tie, khakis, let%26#39;s go! Guess those will be my basics, leave 2 weeks from today! Oh boy!

Will we need scarfs and gloves this time of year for the evenings? We leave Saturday for a week? MrsB.

multi purpose

things like zipup sweaters or sweatshirts make it so it doesnt have to be on or off....lightweight jackets....etc

things like bulky cargo pants, leather jackets, etc dont really help when you can only use them if you need to be macgyver or look like the fonz.

|||

plus try stealing from someone with cargo pants...easy

I always travel like I am hiking (not same stuff but principle)....travel with as little as you can to do as much as you can. prepare for the worst and never the best

Cotton Poly blends. Nothing needing dry cleaning. In a pinch you can wash a 60/40 blend in the bath tub or sink and hang it to dry overnight

Two or three complimentary colors so you can mix what is clean without packing too much.

Nothing with North American company logos. While not essential, you likely want to avoid being targeted as a tourist from a km. This means baseball caps too.

At least one warm sweater or heavy sweatshirt just in case you get visited by a Mistral while in the south.

I always travel with a navy blazer specifically designed for traveling. It has either buttons, zippers or velcro on each pocket. Keeps valuables safe.

That%26#39;s about all I can add.
